Brent Corrigan is Juicy

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Who is Brent Corrigan and why are we hearing so much about him? Well, first some background:

Brent is his stage name; at least it is one of them. He was born, on October 31st (Happy Birthday) 1986, as Sean Paul Lockheart though he is also the face behind the name Fox Ryder. All those names seem appropriate as he is both foxy and will lock your heart once you set your eyes on him. But more about that later. He started a porn career with Cobra Video in 2004, appearing in ‘Every Poolboy’s Dream’ and very quickly became a top rated and commercially successful star. He’s not averse to some of the more extreme and fetishistic side of gay sex having appeared in bareback scenes, cum swallowing and double penetration scenes. But his career has not been without controversy: in September 2005 he made the claim that his documents (those that prove a porn performers age and assure the producers that they are over the legal age of 18) were falsified and that he was actually only 17 when he made his first Cobra film. Naturally things got a bit heated with legal matters and law suits flying around and these are still ongoing. Meanwhile both Cobra and Brent have their own ‘official’ Brent Corrigan websites.

Checking out Brent’s blog on his site, brentcorriganonline.com, I was interested to find out more about the other side of this little cutie’s acting career. There was a blog entry titled, ‘Brent Corrigan’s horror flick?’ which intrigued me. The short post went on to say that the clip being offered was a teaser for a movie by Jody Wheeler entitled ‘Tell Me’, a non adult movie; so I searched for more details. ‘Tell Me’ turns out to be a gay themed sci-fi short and Jody ‘discovered’ Brent after seeing him improvise in one of his porn movies. She decided that he had the ability to act, approached him and the rest, as they say, is history: Brent had made his first non-adult movie.

But is that the end of it? Will he be appearing in any more movies? Well, as far as the porn goes I reckon the answer is yes. His site is packed with hardcore movies and great images and he is turning his hand to producing too. To Brent, ‘producing’ means everything from art direction to filming and he approaches his movie work ‘hands on’, getting as involved with the models and the team as he can.

As for more mainstream work: he doesn’t call himself an actor as such but he has made other non-porn appearances. He recently filmed a pilot for Ryan J. Davis and Eric Svejcar, ‘Didn’t this used to be fun?’ which was a short devised as promotion to raise backing for a full length rock musical. As far as I can make out from various interviews and blogs that I looked up Brent isn’t 100% heading for Hollywood star status. He’s happy to carry on as he is and will keep an open mind about any work which comes along be it adult related, gay themed, musical or whatever. He’s certainly got a great store of talents on which to draw.

So, here you have a 21 year old, good looking, boyish guy with his own adult site, his fingers in many pies including gay porn and mainstream movies, production and website promotion. It’s a wonder he has any time for anything else but luckily for us he does. I suggest you check his blog on the free part of his site to keep right up to date with whatever he will be turning his hand (and his dick?) to next. Mason Wyler Rape Scandal

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

If you are not sure who Mason Wyler is, here are some descriptions of him: The porn industry’s ‘power bottom’, he is a ‘stunning, smooth blue-eyed blond who stands about 5ft 10ins tall and has an 8-inch uncut cock.’ And, in his own words, ‘I am a child at heart and yet have the similar interests of someone coming of age in the 1930s. I’ve never been one of the ‘cool’ kids. A Boy Scout, yes, an athlete, yeah, a few times I was labeled the funny guy, but never really cool. I try my best to stay in shape and I am of the opinion that every body should stay physically fit and exercise and those who don’t are lazy.’

And why should we take notice of him? Because he is one of those porn stars who doesn’t so much act in his movies but simply ‘is’. His performances are natural and well worth viewing. If you get the chance, pop over to Falcon or Colt and hunt him down there. His list of credits include: Miami; Colin O’Neal’s world of men; Closed Set, Titan stage one and Brent Corrigan’s Summit. There should be some names in there that you recognize. He manages to work in the porn industry while studying at the University of North Texas where he is majoring in Social Studies Education and, sad to say, he is already take guys – he’s married. So a guy that can hold down a porn career, (though he prefers to call it Adult Entertainment) a college course and a home life too – that’s’ quite an achievement.

But recently Mason’s name has been in the news due to an attack which took place at his home. The story goes like this: Some months ago Mason took up a correspondence with a guy claiming to be a captain in the U.S. Army. They two started chatting and arranged to meet when the captain next came to Dallas. In September Mason received a message, ‘remember me’ and realized that he had left his wallet in a club; the message was, allegedly, from the captain. He said he had the wallet and offered to return it. The offer to meet was initially turned down by Mason but then the captain showed up at his apartment and helped Mason and his husband carry in the shopping – therefore he gained access to their house.

Things took what is usually a natural progressing and the three guys started ‘fooling around’. Mason let the ‘captain’ tie him up, which his husband didn’t like. The situation escalated to the point were Mason was uncomfortable with the way things were going and his partner was about to go and call the police. (Details of that escalation are not really explained.) But it was then that the ‘captain’ pulled out a gun. Mason says that he and his partner were then repeatedly raped, injected with drugs and assaulted by more than one guy. Eventually the ordeal ended and he was able to call for help.

There are discrepancies in his story (as reported by The Advocate) which he says has caused some in the adult industry to doubt that he was telling the truth, but he also adds, “I can understand why people would think I had it coming to me and I deserved it,” he said. “But I don’t want people thinking I did this for attention. I love attention, but I didn’t do this for attention. This was real.” (The Advocate)

And either way you look at it, it shouldn’t happen, not to a porn star, not to anyone. No one has this kind of attack ‘coming to them’ and no one deserves it. True in detail of not, this story goes to prove that you should always be wary of getting into situations with strangers, no matter how well you think you know them.

Gay Video On Demand

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Video On Demand, or VOD (or PPV, pay per view) as it is often known is a great way to watch porn when you want to without having to become a member of a membership site. There are loads of VOD cinemas out there and they all work in the same way: you become a member (usually for free) so that you can log in to the complete list of movies and details. You buy time, usually on a sliding scale with the more time you buy the cheaper it is in the long run. Then you simply choose what you want to watch and your time is used up only when you are viewing the movie. Some come with rental schemes where you can access the titles for set periods of time, some have free trailers so you can see what you’re paying for before you buy and most, if not all, have different kinds of media file formats so you shouldn’t have any trouble viewing the content.

But who is tops when it comes to content and ease of use? As there are so many around this is a difficult question to answer but let’s look at the three top ranking ones in a general search and see how they compare.

Ignoring the ‘paid to be at the top of the list of search results’ ones and going for the highest ranking generally, the first we come across is aebn.net which describes itself as ‘The global VOD leader.’ Actually I’ve seen hundreds of membership sites that link into this provider of VOD and AEBN is probably one of the best well known. It features a gay and a straight area on its first page so that punters have a choice. The site itself looks very similar to other VOD sites but with its own colour scheme and collection. (There must be a piece of software that webmasters use as VOD sites do often look so similar.) It has a long list of categories, a searchable database and regular updates. Prices start at $3.95 for 15 minutes and the site uses Windows Media Player and Real One to stream the movies.

Second on the rankings comes moviemonster.com again with straight and gay areas (and several languages to select from too.) Samples start to play as you enter the site, there are other free samples too, you have WMV and Real players, a choice of connection speeds (it is very important to choose the appropriate one otherwise you will find your paid for movies start and stop, which can be very frustrating) and prices start at $3.95 for 15 minutes. As with AEBN you have a large choice of viewing material and can set up a free account, there is a help page and a link to the DVD store where you can order hard copies of some of the flicks.

Malepayperview.com comes up third in out list with a choice of four ways to view the movies: Pay Per View, Rental, Downloads or Burn to DVD, this last feature is really catching on and good VOD sites will offer you the chance to burn the movies (once paid for) to you own DVDs. The prices, layout and look of the site are so similar to the ones we’ve just seen it’s tempting to think that these sites are all from the same providers but this doesn’t mean any one is any less worth choosing than the others. As with most VOD sites you are treated to box shots, cast details, summaries of the action and some photos from the individual scenes.

So basically it’s a question of deciding which site you want to become a member of. Use that guide of $3.95 for 15 minutes as a rule of thumb when it comes to cost and remember that the more time you buy the cheaper it becomes to use. Also remember to check the connection speeds available and the list of content to make sure that you can get exactly what you want, how you want it and, more importantly, when you want it.
